Monsoon Diaries and Trying My Hand at Creative Filming

Its been raining non-stop in Goa since early- June. Going out while it’s pouring cats and dogs out there is a bit difficult. That’s why I have been spending a lot of time watching YouTube tutorials for editing and improving my shooting skills, specially using a DSLR. One such video was Peter McKinnon B-Roll Challenge.

Since I can’t venture out in the rain and risk ruining my camera, I thought about testing my filming skills right from my balcony.

Gear Used:

  • Camera: Nikon D3100
  • Lens: 18-55mm prime and 55-200mm zoom lens

Software Used:

  • Da Vinci Resolve 15  to do basic editing [It’s fabulous]
  • GoPro Quik Story App to add filters
  • Google Photos to stabilise [Still learning how to stabilise using Resolve]

That’s it!!

Okay-ish result but I am happy the way it turned out.
